'Mara' was my first Rough Collie. She was not the most feminine of bitches, being rather over-sized. She unfortunately did not enjoy the show ring, which was possibly more to do with my ignorance, so she lived in the house as a well loved pet. I bred two litters from her and she was a superb mum.

 

Some months after her second litter she was re-homed with a friend and lived a long and healthy life.

Kia won consistently well for me at Open Show level, despite her wide-set ears! Unfortunately she was never intended to be a mother and after some difficulties we finally managed to get her in whelp to Ch Lowerpark Izafella. She only produced one puppy, by caesarian section, which I did not keep.

    Bambi was an elegant bitch though she was rather shy. She came from a litter of seven, two of which were sadly born blind with CEA despite both parents having been tested clinically 'clear'! I vowed that, in future, all my puppies would be tested for CEA at the 6-7 week stage.
